Microsoft, IHOP, Burger King, FedEx, CNN, Trader Joe’s, MTV, all started during recessions. Rents are cheaper than ever. Competition evaporates as clueless biz-owners cut back and go into hiding. And good employees are easier to find… and grateful for a job.
That said, there are three key areas you need to get busy with right away:
- Take action – because most of your competitors are running scared right now.
- Focus on driving dollars – not saving nickles (see the video).
- Use “value added offers INSTEAD of discount offers… again – see the video.
Here’s the deal – to build sales in your restaurant or pizzeria you need to take some type of “action.” You need to advertise and market… and of course… you need to keep current customers coming back more often. This is easier to do when you have your good customers on a rewards program.
Think about it – rather than discount to get coupon-clippers in the front door . . . you reward people for spending MORE money with you.
